Today is the last day to board the Cuauhtemoc in San Diego
The Mexican Navy's tall ship closes three days of free public tours at 8 p.m. tonight before sailing on. No reservation is needed at 1492 N. Harbor Drive.

SAN DIEGO: The Mexican Navy's sail training ship Cuauhtemoc closes its San Diego visit today. The tall ship has been open for free public tours since Friday at the North Embarcadero, and Sunday is the last day to go aboard before she departs.
Tours run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 1492 N. Harbor Drive, near the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Admission is free and no reservation is required; visitors board in line and follow the crew's instructions during the visit.

The ship arrived Thursday to a waterfront welcome, docking on the North Embarcadero after a Pacific training cruise that included stops in Hawaii, Alaska and San Francisco.
The Cuauhtemoc serves as a floating classroom for the Mexican Navy's next generation of sailors. Her San Diego stop is the last of the visit: the ship sails today, so anyone who wants to walk her decks has until 8 p.m.
